Double Ungood Weekend

So. How was your weekend? Do anything fun? If so, keep it to yourself.

I worked. I worked 22 hours. I didn't get any homework or studying done, save for the reading of two chapters for history.

Now I must get caught back up with my schoolwork, preferably before this weekend, because Thanksgiving week I need to spend making effing PowerPoint presentations (some of you will remember I hate PP) for two different projects. Plus I will have a final exam on Monday after Thanksgiving, so I will need to study for that. And then there is that whole family-togetherness thing that I want to participate in at some point.

What I'm trying to say is, I will be a little busy through December 14.

Okay, now you can tell me about your weekend. Make me jealous.

Let's see, slept late both days, played with the baby, played with the computers, played with the baby some more, took a nap on Sunday, played with the cats, played with the wife... all in all a very tough weekend.

Let's see ... we're in a refueling outage that started Saturday morning, so I spent the day in a 10 degree freezer testing ice condenser lower inlet doors. What is an ice condenser, you may ask? Go to my December 5, 2003 blog entry if you're interested. Yesterday, we weighed more ice, and I entered the ice weights into the database. I really know how party.

Since you asked...
Thursday I arrived in vacationland and my brother picked me up at the airport. After a triple Jack and Ice and a couple beers, we were setting up camp and enjoying the cheapass cigars that we got from some cornerstore in central bumfuck. Ah, the great outdoors.
Friday we got up early and went in search of snorkeling spots. We boated around one location, finding nothing but some rather large fish and a lot of marine plants. Scooted over to another location and ended up swimming with a protected species. Pretty sweet except for the Fish & Game guys who showed up with guns. Like I said, protected. That night some friends met us and brought us a present; a keg of beer. Yeah, we were really roughing it.
Saturday got up and went to my brother's place, relaxed, went to bed early, and got up at 3:30am on Sunday to catch my flight home. Arrived at the house around noon, and moved a bunch of furniture and stuff over to the new house, put in a solid 18 hour day, and passed the hell out.
